All adults aged eighteen or over benefit from preventive health and social measures, including preventive appointments offered to insured persons at certain ages. These preventive appointments may involve preventive consultations and information, health education, health promotion and prevention sessions. These prevention meetings should also provide an opportunity to identify gender-based and sexual violence and the risks associated with being a carer.
Depending on needs, their objectives include promoting physical and sporting activity and a healthy diet, preventing cancer, addiction and infertility, and promoting mental and sexual health. They are tailored to the needs of each individual and take particular account of the health needs of women and the detection of early age-related fragility with a view to preventing loss of autonomy. The conditions under which telemedicine may be used to facilitate access to these preventive appointments, in exceptional circumstances and when the insured person is unable to attend an appointment in person, are defined by regulation.
