Article L1418-2 of the French Public Health Code

In order to carry out the tasks provided for in 4°, 10°, 11° and 14° of article L. 1418-1, the Agency shall appoint inspectors from among its staff to carry out the relevant checks and investigations and may ask the competent State administrative authorities or public establishments concerned to call in their staff authorised to monitor the application of legislative and regulatory provisions designed to protect human health.

These inspectors may be assisted by experts appointed by the Director General of the Agency.

The provisions of articles L. 1421-2, L. 1421-3 and L. 1427-1 are applicable to the Agency’s inspectors.

The Agency shall receive the monitoring and inspection reports relating to the activities within its remit.

Pour l’accomplissement des missions prévues aux 4°, 10°, 11° et 14° de l’article L. 1418-1, l’agence désigne parmi ses agents des inspecteurs chargés des contrôles et investigations y afférents et peut demander aux autorités administratives compétentes de l’Etat ou aux établissements publics concernés de faire intervenir leurs agents habilités à contrôler l’application des dispositions législatives et réglementaires visant à préserver la santé humaine.

Ces inspecteurs peuvent être assistés par des experts désignés par le directeur général de l’agence.

Les dispositions des articles L. 1421-2, L. 1421-3 et L. 1427-1 sont applicables aux inspecteurs de l’agence.

L’agence est destinataire des rapports de contrôle et d’inspection concernant les activités relevant de sa compétence.
