Article L1424-71 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The departmental-metropolitan fire and rescue service is administered by a board of directors made up of representatives:

1° From the Rhône department, the communes and the public establishments for inter-communal cooperation in the department with jurisdiction over fire and rescue;

2° From the Lyon metropolitan authority.

Activity as a volunteer firefighter in the Rhône department or the Lyon metropolitan area is incompatible with holding the position of member of the board of directors with voting rights.

Article L1424-71

Le service départemental-métropolitain d’incendie et de secours est administré par un conseil d’administration composé de représentants :

1° Du département du Rhône, des communes et des établissements publics de coopération intercommunale du département compétents en matière de secours et de lutte contre l’incendie ;

2° De la métropole de Lyon.

L’activité de sapeur-pompier volontaire dans le département du Rhône ou la métropole de Lyon est incompatible avec l’exercice des fonctions de membre du conseil d’administration avec voix délibérative.
