The Conférence régionale de la santé et de l’autonomie is a consultative body made up of several colleges, which contributes to regional health policy through its opinions. These colleges include representatives of local and regional authorities, users and associations working in the areas for which the regional health agency is responsible, territorial health councils, organisations representing employees and the independent professions, professional employers’ organisations representative at national and cross-industry level, health system professionals, bodies managing health and medico-social establishments and services, and social protection bodies.
The Regional Health Agency provides the Regional Health and Autonomy Conference with operating resources.
The Regional Health and Autonomy Conference may make proposals to the Director General of the Regional Health Agency concerning the development, implementation and evaluation of health policy in the region and its territories. It issues an opinion on the regional health project. It is consulted under the conditions provided for in second paragraph of I of article L. 631-1 of the Education Code. It organises the expression of the representatives of users of the healthcare system. In conjunction with the territorial health councils, it assesses the conditions in which the rights of patients and users of the healthcare system are applied and respected, as well as the quality of care and support.
It organises public debate on healthcare issues of its choice.
The opinions of the regional conference on health and autonomy are made public.
A decree shall determine the terms of application of this article.
