A regional intervention fund finances, by decision of the regional health agencies, actions, experiments and, where appropriate, structures contributing to :
1° Promoting health and preventing illness, injury, disability and loss of autonomy ;
2° The organisation and promotion of coordinated healthcare pathways, as well as the quality and safety of healthcare and medico-social services;
3° The continuity of care and the distribution of healthcare professionals and facilities throughout the territory;
4° The efficiency of health and medico-social structures and the improvement of working conditions for their staff;
5° The development of health democracy.
The funding allocated to health and medico-social establishments under the Regional Intervention Fund and the commitments made in return are recorded and assessed as part of the multi-year contracts for objectives and resources referred to, respectively, in article L. 6114-2 of this Code and article L. 313-11 of the Social Action and Family Code.
The funding allocated to the Armed Forces Health Service under the Regional Intervention Fund and the regional commitments made in return are recorded and assessed as part of the specific contract provided for in article L. 6147-12.
