Article L163-11 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The penalties laid down in Article 226-21 of the Criminal Code shall apply to any person who:

1. Use information centralised by the Banque de France pursuant to the first paragraph of article L. 131-85 for purposes other than those pursued by articles L. 131-1 to L. 131-87 relating to cheques and by articles L. 133-1 to L. 133-28 when they apply to payment cards;

2. To centralise, on behalf of the Banque de France, the information provided for in the first paragraph of Article L. 131-85.

Article L163-11

Est puni des peines prévues par l’article 226-21 du code pénal le fait, pour toute personne :

1. D’utiliser, à d’autres fins que celles poursuivies par les articles L. 131-1 à L. 131-87 relatifs aux chèques et par les articles L. 133-1 à L. 133-28 lorsqu’ils s’appliquent à la carte de paiement, les informations centralisées par la Banque de France en application du premier alinéa de l’article L. 131-85 ;

2. D’assurer, aux lieu et place de la Banque de France, la centralisation des informations prévues par le premier alinéa de l’article L. 131-85.
