Article L2123-18-2 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Members of the Town Council are entitled to reimbursement by the municipality of the costs of childcare or assistance for the elderly, disabled or those needing personal assistance at home that they have incurred as a result of attending the meetings referred to in article L. 2123-1. This reimbursement may not exceed, per hour, the hourly amount of the minimum growth wage. The terms and conditions of reimbursement are set by decision of the municipal council.
In municipalities of less than 3,500 inhabitants, the reimbursement made by the municipality is compensated by the State under the conditions set out in article L. 2335-1.

Les membres du conseil municipal bénéficient d’un remboursement par la commune des frais de garde d’enfants ou d’assistance aux personnes âgées, handicapées ou ayant besoin d’une aide personnelle à leur domicile qu’ils ont engagés en raison de leur participation aux réunions mentionnées à l’article L. 2123-1. Ce remboursement ne peut excéder, par heure, le montant horaire du salaire minimum de croissance. Les modalités de remboursement sont fixées par délibération du conseil municipal.


Dans les communes de moins de 3 500 habitants, le remboursement auquel a procédé la commune est compensé par l’Etat dans les conditions fixées à l’article L. 2335-1.
