The mayor may, by reasoned order:
1° Institute, on a permanent or temporary basis, for vehicles assigned to a public service and for the exclusive needs of this service and, as part of their missions, for vehicles transporting cash, jewellery or precious metals, reserved parking spaces on the public roads of the built-up area ;
2° Reserve spaces on these same roads to facilitate the movement and parking of public passenger transport and taxis as well as vehicles transporting cash, jewellery or precious metals, as part of their missions, and the stopping of vehicles loading or unloading goods ;
3° Reserving spaces on the public highway, permanently or at certain times, to facilitate the movement of public transport vehicles, taxis, vehicles carrying a minimum number of occupants, in particular in the context of car-sharing within the meaning of Article L. 3132-1 of the French Transport Code or very low emission vehicles within the meaning of article L. 318-1 of the French Highway Code.
For reasons relating to traffic conditions and road safety, the mayor may not authorise goods vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes to circulate on these reserved spaces even if they meet the conditions of the first paragraph of this 3°.
