Article L2223-13 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Where the size of the cemeteries permits, plots may be granted to persons wishing to use them for their own burial and that of their children or successors. The beneficiaries of the concession may build vaults, monuments and tombs on these plots.

Spaces may also be granted for the deposit or interment of urns in the cemetery.

The land required for the separations and passages established around the above-mentioned plot concessions is provided by the commune.

Lorsque l’étendue des cimetières le permet, il peut être concédé des terrains aux personnes qui désirent y fonder leur sépulture et celle de leurs enfants ou successeurs. Les bénéficiaires de la concession peuvent construire sur ces terrains des caveaux, monuments et tombeaux.

Il peut être également concédé des espaces pour le dépôt ou l’inhumation des urnes dans le cimetière.

Le terrain nécessaire aux séparations et passages établis autour des concessions de terrains mentionnées ci-dessus est fourni par la commune.
