Article L225-254 of the French Commercial code

Liability actions against directors or the managing director, both corporate and individual, shall be barred after three years, starting from the harmful event or, if it was concealed, from its revelation. However, where the act is classified as a crime, the action shall be barred after ten years.

L’action en responsabilité contre les administrateurs ou le directeur général, tant sociale qu’individuelle, se prescrit par trois ans, à compter du fait dommageable ou s’il a été dissimulé, de sa révélation. Toutefois, lorsque le fait est qualifié crime, l’action se prescrit par dix ans.
