Article L23-113-1 of the French Labour Code

The inter-professional regional joint committees are responsible for:

1° To provide employees and employers with any useful information or advice on the legal provisions or agreements applicable to them;

2° To provide information, debate and issue any useful opinions on issues specific to companies with fewer than eleven employees and their employees, particularly in the areas of employment, training, forward planning of jobs and skills, working conditions, health at work, professional equality, the fight against sexual harassment and sexist behaviour, part-time work and job mix;

3° To facilitate the resolution of individual or collective disputes that have not been referred to the courts. The Commission may only intervene with the agreement of the parties concerned;

4° To make proposals regarding social and cultural activities.

Article L23-113-1

Les commissions paritaires régionales interprofessionnelles ont pour compétence :

1° De donner aux salariés et aux employeurs toutes informations ou tous conseils utiles sur les dispositions légales ou conventionnelles qui leur sont applicables ;

2° D’apporter des informations, de débattre et de rendre tout avis utile sur les questions spécifiques aux entreprises de moins de onze salariés et à leurs salariés, notamment en matière d’emploi, de formation, de gestion prévisionnelle des emplois et des compétences, de conditions de travail, de santé au travail, d’égalité professionnelle, de lutte contre le harcèlement sexuel et les agissements sexistes, de travail à temps partiel et de mixité des emplois ;

3° De faciliter la résolution de conflits individuels ou collectifs n’ayant pas donné lieu à saisine d’une juridiction. La commission ne peut intervenir qu’avec l’accord des parties concernées ;

4° De faire des propositions en matière d’activités sociales et culturelles.
