Article L2341-8 of the French Labour Code

The competence of the European Works Council or the procedure mentioned in article L. 2341-4 concerns transnational issues. Transnational issues are those which concern the entire Community-scale undertaking or group of undertakings or at least two undertakings or establishments of the undertaking or group situated in two Member States.

La compétence du comité d’entreprise européen ou la procédure mentionnée à l’article L. 2341-4 porte sur les questions transnationales. Sont considérées comme telles les questions qui concernent l’ensemble de l’entreprise ou du groupe d’entreprises de dimension communautaire ou au moins deux entreprises ou établissements de l’entreprise ou du groupe situés dans deux Etats membres.
