Article L2353-5 of the French Labour Code

When exceptional circumstances arise which considerably affect the interests of the employees, in particular in the event of relocation, closure of an undertaking or establishment or collective redundancies, the European Company Committee or, if it so decides, the Board, shall be convened as of right, if it so requests, by the manager of the European Company in order to be informed and consulted on the measures considerably affecting the interests of the employees.

Lorsque surviennent des circonstances exceptionnelles affectant considérablement les intérêts des salariés, notamment en cas de délocalisation, de fermeture d’entreprise ou d’établissement ou de licenciement collectif, le comité de la société européenne ou, s’il en décide ainsi, le bureau, est de plein droit réuni, s’il en fait la demande, par le dirigeant de la société européenne afin d’être informé et consulté sur les mesures affectant considérablement les intérêts des salariés.
