Article L2411-25 of the French Labour Code

The dismissal of an employee who is a member of the regional cross-industry joint committee referred to in Article L. 23-111-1 may only take place after authorisation from the Labour Inspector.

This authorisation is also required for the dismissal of an employee appearing on the electoral propaganda, for a period of six months from the notification provided for in article L. 23-112-2, and for the dismissal of an employee who has sat on this committee, for a period of six months from the expiry of his term of office.

This authorisation is also required as soon as the employer is aware of the imminent appointment of the employee on the electoral propaganda.

Le licenciement du salarié membre de la commission paritaire régionale interprofessionnelle mentionnée à l’article L. 23-111-1 ne peut intervenir qu’après autorisation de l’inspecteur du travail.


Cette autorisation est également requise pour le licenciement du salarié figurant sur la propagande électorale, pendant une durée de six mois à compter de la notification prévue à l’article L. 23-112-2, et pour le licenciement du salarié ayant siégé dans cette commission, pendant une durée de six mois à compter de l’expiration de son mandat.


Cette autorisation est également requise dès que l’employeur a connaissance de l’imminence de la désignation du salarié sur la propagande électorale.
