Article L2421-12 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The provisions of articles L. 2421-5 to L. 2421-10 benefit all persons who have acquired, for valuable consideration or free of charge, a right of use mentioned in article L. 2421-1, unless the regularity of their acquisition with regard to the legislative or regulatory provisions or customs in force has been contested before the competent courts prior to 5 January 1967.

Les dispositions des articles L. 2421-5 à L. 2421-10 bénéficient à toutes les personnes qui ont acquis, à titre onéreux ou à titre gratuit, un droit de jouissance mentionné à l’article L. 2421-1, à moins que la régularité de leur acquisition eu égard aux dispositions législatives ou réglementaires ou aux usages en vigueur n’ait fait l’objet, antérieurement au 5 janvier 1967, d’une contestation devant les juridictions compétentes.
