Article L2421-9 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

After the posting provided for in the last paragraph of article L. 2421-4 and in the event that the plots are to be assigned to purposes of general interest, the municipal council may also decide to terminate the right of enjoyment over all or part of these plots, in return for compensation, if they remained subject to it and to proceed with the repurchase, in return for compensation, of the constructions that have been built there.

This decision is notified to the interested parties.

Article L2421-9

Après l’affichage prévu au dernier alinéa de l’article L. 2421-4 et au cas où les parcelles doivent être affectées à des fins d’intérêt général, le conseil municipal peut également décider de mettre fin au droit de jouissance sur tout ou partie de ces parcelles, moyennant indemnité, si elles y demeuraient soumises et de procéder au rachat, moyennant indemnité, des constructions qui y ont été édifiées.
