Article L251-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Foreign nationals whose situation is governed by this book have a period of voluntary departure of one month from notification of the decision to comply with the obligation to leave French territory.
The administrative authority may only reduce the period provided for in the first paragraph in an emergency and may only extend it in exceptional circumstances.

Les étrangers dont la situation est régie par le présent livre disposent, pour satisfaire à l’obligation qui leur a été faite de quitter le territoire français, d’un délai de départ volontaire d’un mois à compter de la notification de la décision.
L’autorité administrative ne peut réduire le délai prévu au premier alinéa qu’en cas d’urgence et ne peut l’allonger qu’à titre exceptionnel.
