Article L3115-7 of the French Public Health Code

In the case of international travel, operators of means of transport, transport infrastructures and travel agencies are obliged to inform their passengers or customers of the public health risks identified by the health authorities in places of destination or transit. They must also inform them of the recommendations to be followed and the health measures put in place to combat these risks.

In the event of a serious health risk being identified after a journey and to enable the necessary information and protection measures to be put in place, the operators mentioned in the first paragraph are obliged to communicate to the health authorities data enabling the identification of passengers exposed or likely to have been exposed to the risk.

En cas de voyage international, les exploitants de moyens de transport, d’infrastructures de transport et d’agences de voyages sont tenus d’informer leurs passagers ou leurs clients des risques pour la santé publique constatés par les autorités sanitaires dans les lieux de destination ou de transit. Ils les informent également des recommandations à suivre et des mesures sanitaires mises en place contre ces risques.

En cas d’identification d’un risque sanitaire grave postérieurement à un voyage et pour permettre la mise en place des mesures d’information et de protection nécessaires, les exploitants mentionnés au premier alinéa sont tenus de communiquer aux autorités sanitaires les données permettant l’identification des passagers exposés ou susceptibles d’avoir été exposés au risque.
