Article L313-7 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

For stays covered by this section, the insurance obligation provided for in 2° of Article L. 311-1 may be satisfied by insurance with the same scope taken out for the benefit of the foreign national by the person offering to accommodate him or her.

Pour les séjours visés par la présente section, l’obligation d’assurance prévue au 2° de l’article L. 311-1 peut être satisfaite par une assurance ayant la même portée souscrite au profit de l’étranger par la personne qui se propose de l’héberger.
