Article L322-7 of the French Commercial code

In places where there are no sworn merchandise brokers, judicial auctioneers, notaries and bailiffs shall conduct the sales provided for in Article L. 322-4, in accordance with the legal and regulatory provisions governing their interventions.

They are, for the said sales, subject to the forms, conditions and rates imposed on brokers.

Dans les lieux où il n’y a point de courtiers de marchandises assermentés, les commissaires-priseurs judiciaires, les notaires et huissiers font les ventes prévues à l’article L. 322-4, conformément aux dispositions légales et réglementaires régissant leurs interventions.

Ils sont, pour lesdites ventes, soumis aux formes, conditions et tarifs imposés aux courtiers.
