Article L332-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

A foreign national who does not meet the admission conditions laid down in Title I may be refused entry, without prejudice to the specific provisions relating to the right of asylum and international protection or the issue of long-stay visas.

L’étranger qui ne satisfait pas aux conditions d’admission prévues au titre I peut faire l’objet d’une décision de refus d’entrée, sans préjudice des dispositions particulières relatives au droit d’asile et à la protection internationale ou à la délivrance de visas de long séjour.
