Article L333-2 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The foreign national may refuse to be repatriated before the expiry of the period of one clear day.
A foreign national who is a minor and is not accompanied by a legal representative may not be repatriated before the expiry of the same period.
This article does not apply to refusals of entry notified at France’s land border.

L’étranger peut refuser d’être rapatrié avant l’expiration du délai d’un jour franc.
L’étranger mineur non accompagné d’un représentant légal ne peut être rapatrié avant l’expiration du même délai.
Le présent article n’est pas applicable aux refus d’entrée notifiés à la frontière terrestre de la France.
