Article L333-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The obligation to reroute a foreign national set out in article L. 333-3 is applicable, in the case of transit by air or sea, in the following situations:
1° The transport company that was to take the foreign national to the country of destination later refuses to take him on board;
2° The authorities in the country of destination have refused the foreign national entry and sent him back to France.

L’obligation de réacheminer un étranger prévue à l’article L. 333-3 est applicable, en cas de transit aérien ou maritime, dans les situations suivantes :
1° L’entreprise de transport qui devait acheminer l’étranger dans le pays de destination ultérieure refuse de l’embarquer ;
2° Les autorités du pays de destination ont refusé l’entrée à l’étranger et l’ont renvoyé en France.
