Article L334-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code

In the event of a breach of the provisions of article L. 122-8, the purchaser and the judicial officers may be ordered jointly and severally to pay damages to the beneficiaries of the resale right.

En cas de violation des dispositions de l’article L. 122-8, l’acquéreur et les officiers ministériels peuvent être condamnés solidairement, au profit des bénéficiaires du droit de suite, à des dommages-intérêts.
