Article L3413-2 of the French Public Health Code

If the medical examination or assessment provided for in article L. 3413-1 confirms the appropriateness of a therapeutic injunction measure, the designated health professional invites the person concerned to go to an addiction care, support and prevention centre or to a doctor of his/her choice or, failing that, to a doctor appointed by the court, in order to undergo medical treatment or appropriate social and psychological care.

Article L3413-2

Si l’examen médical ou l’évaluation prévu à l’article L. 3413-1 confirme l’opportunité d’une mesure d’injonction thérapeutique, le professionnel de santé désigné invite l’intéressé à se présenter auprès d’un centre de soins, d’accompagnement et de prévention en addictologie ou d’un médecin de son choix ou, à défaut, désigné d’office pour suivre un traitement médical ou faire l’objet d’une prise en charge socio-psychologique adaptée.
