Article L4001-1 of the French Public Health Code

The practice of a health profession includes public health missions which include :

1° The reporting obligations set out in this Code, in particular articles L. 1413-7, L. 1413-14, L. 1413-15 and L. 3113-1 ;

2° Participation, where applicable, in prevention, screening and care activities required by a health emergency, implemented by the regional health agencies in application of article L. 1431-2;

3° On a voluntary basis, participation in health monitoring, surveillance and safety activities.

L’exercice d’une profession de santé comprend des missions de santé publique qui comportent :

1° Les obligations déclaratives prévues au présent code, notamment aux articles L. 1413-7, L. 1413-14, L. 1413-15 et L. 3113-1 ;

2° La participation, le cas échéant, à des actions de prévention, de dépistage et de soins nécessitées par un contexte d’urgence sanitaire, mises en œuvre par les agences régionales de santé en application de l’article L. 1431-2 ;

3° Sur la base du volontariat, la participation à des actions de veille, de surveillance et de sécurité sanitaire.
