The employer shall implement the measures provided for in Article L. 4121-1 on the basis of the following general principles of prevention:
1° Avoid risks ;
2° Assess the risks that cannot be avoided;
3° Combating risks at source;
4° Adapting work to people, in particular with regard to the design of workstations and the choice of work equipment and work and production methods, with a view in particular to limiting monotonous work and work at regular intervals and reducing their effects on health;
5° To take account of technical developments;
6° To replace what is dangerous by what is not dangerous or by what is less dangerous;
7° Plan prevention by integrating, as a coherent whole, technology, work organisation, working conditions, social relations and the influence of environmental factors, in particular the risks associated with psychological harassment and sexual harassment, as defined in Articles L. 1152-1 and L. 1153-1, as well as those associated with sexist behaviour as defined in Article L. 1142-2-1;
8° Take collective protection measures, giving them priority over individual protection measures;
9° Give appropriate instructions to workers.
