When a doctor, dental surgeon or midwife has been convicted by a criminal court of any offence other than a felony or misdemeanour against the Nation, the State or public peace, the first instance disciplinary chamber of the ordre may, if appropriate, impose one of the penalties provided for in article L. 4124-6 on him, under the conditions of articles L. 4126-1 and L. 4126-2.
In order to ensure that the provisions of the previous paragraph are applied, the judicial authority must inform the conseil national de l’ordre without delay of any conviction, which has become final, of one of the practitioners mentioned above, including convictions handed down abroad.
