The following are reserved for pharmacists, with the exception of the derogations provided for in the articles of this Code:
1° The preparation of medicinal products intended for use in human medicine;
2° The preparation of dressings and all articles presented as complying with the pharmacopoeia;
3° The preparation of generators, kits or precursors mentioned in article L. 5121-1 ;
4° Wholesale and retail sales, including over the Internet, and any dispensing to the public of the medicinal products, products and articles mentioned in 1°, 2° and 3°;
5° The sale of medicinal plants listed in the pharmacopoeia, subject to exemptions established by decree;
6° The retail sale and any dispensing to the public of essential oils, the list of which is set by decree, as well as their dilutions and preparations that do not constitute cosmetic products, products for household use or foodstuffs or beverages;
7° The retail sale and dispensing to the public of infant formulae and foodstuffs intended for special medical purposes, as defined in article L. 5137-1, intended for children under six months of age, the characteristics of which are laid down by order of the ministers responsible for consumption and health, and foodstuffs intended for special medical purposes as referred to in the second paragraph of article L. 5137-3;
8° The retail sale and any dispensing of in vitro diagnostic medical devices and their accessories intended for use by the public, with the exception of tests intended for the diagnosis of pregnancy and ovulation tests.
The manufacture and wholesale of simple drugs and chemical substances intended for pharmaceutical use are free, provided that these products are never delivered directly to consumers for pharmaceutical use and subject to the specific regulations concerning certain of them.
