Any person holding a diploma, certificate or qualification awarded following training which has enabled them to acquire the skills required to practise this profession and which is included on a list drawn up by the ministers responsible for health and higher education may practise the profession of hospital pharmacy assistant in public health establishments, army hospitals and other elements of the army health service and bear the title of hospital pharmacy assistant.
Hospital pharmacy assistants are authorised to assist the pharmacist in charge of managing the in-house pharmacy and the pharmacists assisting him/her, with regard to the management, supply, dispensing and preparation of the medicinal products, products and articles mentioned in article L. 4211-1 and sterile medical devices. They carry out their duties under the responsibility and effective control of a pharmacist.
