Article L4333-2 of the French Public Health Code

Occupational therapists and psychomotricians must have the language skills required to practise their profession and those relating to the systems of weights and measures used in France when their licence to practise or declaration of provision of services is issued.

The language proficiency test must be proportionate to the activity to be performed and must be carried out once the professional qualification has been recognised.

L’ergothérapeute et le psychomotricien, lors de la délivrance de l’autorisation d’exercice ou de la déclaration de prestation de services, doivent posséder les connaissances linguistiques nécessaires à l’exercice de la profession et celles relatives aux systèmes de poids et mesures utilisés en France.

Le contrôle de la maîtrise de la langue doit être proportionné à l’activité à exercer et réalisé une fois la qualification professionnelle reconnue.
