Article L4361-2 of the French Public Health Code

Before entering the profession, persons who have obtained the evidence of formal qualifications or authorisation required to practise as a hearing aid acoustician must register with the department or body designated for this purpose by the Minister responsible for health.

The registration of these persons is carried out after verification of the supporting documents attesting to their identity and their training qualification or authorisation. They must inform the same department or body of any change of residence or professional situation.

The registration procedure is free of charge.

A list of this profession is drawn up for each département by the regional health agency or the body designated for this purpose, and made available to the public.

Persons holding a diploma, certificate or other evidence of formal qualifications referred to in articles L. 4361-3 and L. 4361-4 registered in accordance with the first paragraph may practise the profession of hearing aid acoustician.

Detailed rules for the application of this article shall be laid down by decree.

Article L4361-2

Sont tenues de se faire enregistrer auprès du service ou de l’organisme désigné à cette fin par le ministre chargé de la santé, avant leur entrée dans la profession, les personnes ayant obtenu un titre de formation ou une autorisation requis pour l’exercice de la profession d’audioprothésiste.

L’enregistrement de ces personnes est réalisé après vérification des pièces justificatives attestant de leur identité et de leur titre de formation ou de leur autorisation. Elles informent le même service ou organisme de tout changement de résidence ou de situation professionnelle.

La procédure d’enregistrement est sans frais.

Il est établi, pour chaque département, par l’agence régionale de santé ou l’organisme désigné à cette fin, une liste de cette profession, portée à la connaissance du public.

Peuvent exercer la profession d’audioprothésiste les personnes titulaires d’un diplôme, certificat ou titre mentionné aux articles L. 4361-3 et L. 4361-4 enregistré conformément au premier alinéa.

Les modalités d’application du présent article sont fixées par décret.
