Article L4394-4 of the French Public Health Code

The unauthorised use of the title of dental assistant or of a diploma, certificate or other title legally required for the practice of this profession is punishable in the same way as the offence of usurpation of a title provided for inarticle 433-17 of the French Criminal Code.

Legal entities may be held criminally liable for this offence under the conditions set out in article 121-2 of the same code. They incur the penalties provided for the offence of usurpation of title in articles 433-17 and 433-25 of the said code.

L’usage sans droit de la qualité d’assistant dentaire ou d’un diplôme, certificat, ou autre titre légalement requis pour l’exercice de cette profession est puni comme le délit d’usurpation de titre prévu à l’article 433-17 du code pénal.

Les personnes morales peuvent être déclarées pénalement responsables de ce délit, dans les conditions prévues à l’article 121-2 du même code. Elles encourent les peines prévues pour le délit d’usurpation de titre aux articles 433-17 et 433-25 dudit code.
