Article L444-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

A temporary residence permit authorising the exercise of a professional activity may be issued to foreign nationals who come to the Wallis and Futuna Islands to exercise a professional activity not subject to authorisation and who can prove that they can live on their own resources. It will state the activity that the holder intends to carry out.

Une carte de séjour temporaire autorisant l’exercice d’une activité professionnelle peut être délivrée à l’étranger qui vient exercer dans les îles Wallis et Futuna une activité professionnelle non soumise à autorisation et qui justifie pouvoir vivre de ses seules ressources. Elle porte la mention de l’activité que le titulaire entend exercer.
