I.-Any worker assigned to a position involving particular risks to his or her health or safety or to that of his or her colleagues or third parties in the immediate work environment will benefit from enhanced individual health monitoring. This monitoring includes in particular a medical examination to assess fitness, which replaces the information and prevention visit provided for in article L. 4624-1.
II – The medical examination for fitness is designed to ensure that the worker’s state of health is compatible with the position to which he is assigned, in order to prevent any serious risk to his health or safety or to that of his colleagues or third parties in the immediate working environment. It is carried out before the employee is recruited and renewed periodically. It is carried out by the occupational physician, except where specific provisions entrust it to another physician.
