In Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, in the absence of an occupational physician, the administrative authority may authorise a physician with training in occupational medicine to practise as an occupational physician without holding the special diploma provided for in article L. 4623-1.
If he does not have proof of training in occupational medicine, a doctor may nevertheless be authorised to practise as an occupational medicine doctor without holding the special diploma provided for in article L. 4623-1, provided that he enrols in an occupational medicine training course within twelve months of obtaining this authorisation. Continuation of the authorisation is subject to production of a certificate of validation of this training.
