Article L513-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Refugee status is recognised and the benefit of subsidiary protection is granted by the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons under the conditions laid down in Chapter I of Title III or by the Cour nationale du droit d’asile under the conditions laid down in Chapter II of the same title.

La qualité de réfugié est reconnue et le bénéfice de la protection subsidiaire est accordé par l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides dans les conditions prévues au chapitre I du titre III ou par la Cour nationale du droit d’asile dans les conditions prévues au chapitre II du même titre.
