Article L5134-69 of the French Labour Code

The initiative-emploi contract is a private law employment contract for an indefinite or fixed term concluded in application of article L. 1242-3.

Where it is concluded for a fixed term, the renewal rules set out in articles L. 1243-13 and L. 1243-13-1 do not apply.

Le contrat initiative-emploi est un contrat de travail de droit privé à durée indéterminée ou à durée déterminée conclu en application de l’article L. 1242-3.

Lorsqu’il est conclu pour une durée déterminée les règles de renouvellement prévues aux articles L. 1243-13 et L. 1243-13-1 ne sont pas applicables.
