If the search for the members of the unaccompanied minor’s family has not begun when protection is granted to him or her under asylum, it will be carried out as soon as possible. In cases where the life or physical integrity of the minor or his or her close relatives remaining in the country of origin would be threatened, this search is carried out confidentially.

Si la recherche des membres de la famille du mineur non accompagné n’a pas commencé quand une protection lui est octroyée au titre de l’asile, il y est procédé dès que possible. Dans le cas où la vie ou l’intégrité physique du mineur ou de ses parents proches restés dans le pays d’origine serait menacée, cette recherche est menée de manière confidentielle.
