Article L5711-6 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Within one year of its creation, a public-private association resulting from a merger in application of Article L. 5711-2 may be authorised by the representative(s) of the State in the department(s) concerned to withdraw from a public-private association of which one or more of the merged associations were members in application of Article L. 5711-4, with the agreement of the deliberative body of the public-private association from which the public-private association resulting from the merger plans to withdraw.

Article L5711-6

Dans un délai d’un an à compter de sa création, un syndicat mixte issu d’une fusion en application de l’article L. 5711-2 peut être autorisé par le ou les représentants de l’Etat dans le ou les départements concernés à se retirer d’un syndicat mixte dont un ou plusieurs des syndicats fusionnés étaient membres en application de l’article L. 5711-4, avec l’accord de l’organe délibérant du syndicat mixte dont le syndicat mixte issu de la fusion envisage de se retirer.
