Article L581-2 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The temporary protection scheme is open to foreign nationals in accordance with the procedures determined by the decision of the Council of the European Union referred to in Article 5 of Council Directive 2001/55/EC of 20 July 2001, defining the specific groups of persons to whom temporary protection applies, setting the date on which temporary protection will enter into force and containing in particular the information communicated by the Member States of the European Union concerning their reception capacities.

Article L581-2

Le bénéfice du régime de la protection temporaire est ouvert aux étrangers selon les modalités déterminées par la décision du Conseil de l’Union européenne mentionnée à l’article 5 de la directive 2001/55/CE du Conseil du 20 juillet 2001, définissant les groupes spécifiques de personnes auxquelles s’applique la protection temporaire, fixant la date à laquelle la protection temporaire entrera en vigueur et contenant notamment les informations communiquées par les Etats membres de l’Union européenne concernant leurs capacités d’accueil.
