Article L5816-6 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

With regard to the administration of the common property and the execution of works relating thereto, the syndicate commission has all the powers attributed to the municipal council.

The powers of the mayor are exercised by the president of the commission.

With regard to the alienation of undivided property and rights, their pledging, divisions, acquisitions and transactions, the municipal councils concerned deliberate. They may authorise the chairman of the commission syndicale to take the necessary steps to implement these decisions.

La commission syndicale a, en ce qui concerne l’administration du patrimoine commun et l’exécution des travaux y relatifs, tous les pouvoirs attribués au conseil municipal.

Les attributions du maire sont exercées par le président de la commission.

En ce qui concerne les aliénations de biens et droits indivis, leur nantissement, les partages, acquisitions et transactions, les conseils municipaux intéressés en délibèrent. Ils peuvent habiliter le président de la commission syndicale à passer les actes nécessaires à l’exécution de ces délibérations.
