Any person registered in the Trade and Companies Register or the National Register of Companies as a business in the trades and crafts sector, as well as any individual entrepreneur with limited liability and any legal entity under private law, may join a prevention grouping approved by order of the State representative in the region.
The purpose of this group is to provide its members with a confidential analysis of economic, accounting and financial information, which they undertake to forward to the group on a regular basis.
When the group identifies indications of difficulties, it informs the company director and may suggest that he or she call in an expert.
At the behest of the State representative, the competent administrations provide assistance to approved prevention groups. The services of the Banque de France may also be called upon to give opinions on the financial situation of member companies, in accordance with the procedures laid down by agreement. Approved prevention groups may also receive assistance from local and regional authorities.
Approved prevention groups are authorised to enter into agreements for the benefit of their members, in particular with credit institutions, finance companies and insurance companies.
