Article L612-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

A foreign national subject to a decision imposing an obligation to leave French territory has a period of voluntary departure of thirty days from notification of this decision.
The administrative authority may exceptionally grant a period of voluntary departure longer than thirty days if it appears necessary to take account of circumstances specific to each case.
It may extend the period granted for an appropriate period if it appears necessary to take account of circumstances specific to each case. The foreign national is informed in writing of any such extension.

L’étranger faisant l’objet d’une décision portant obligation de quitter le territoire français dispose d’un délai de départ volontaire de trente jours à compter de la notification de cette décision.
L’autorité administrative peut accorder, à titre exceptionnel, un délai de départ volontaire supérieur à trente jours s’il apparaît nécessaire de tenir compte de circonstances propres à chaque cas.
Elle peut prolonger le délai accordé pour une durée appropriée s’il apparaît nécessaire de tenir compte de circonstances propres à chaque cas. L’étranger est informé par écrit de cette prolongation.
