Article L613-23-5 of the French Intellectual Property Code

Each of the parties to the opposition proceedings shall bear the costs it has incurred, unless the Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property decides on a different apportionment of those costs, insofar as equity requires, and within the limits of a scale set by order of the Minister responsible for industrial property.

Chacune des parties à la procédure d’opposition supporte les frais qu’elle a exposés, à moins que le directeur général de l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle ne décide d’une répartition différente de ces frais, dans la mesure où l’équité l’exige, et dans la limite d’un barème fixé par arrêté du ministre chargé de la propriété industrielle.
