I.-The regional hospital grouping may be authorised by the director general of the regional health agency to set up a unified grouping medical commission in place of the grouping medical commission and the medical commissions of the establishments that are part of the grouping.
The request is submitted by the director of the support institution for the regional hospital grouping, with the agreement of the directors of the participating institutions, and after receiving the favourable opinion of the grouping’s strategic committee, the grouping’s medical commission and the medical commissions of all the institutions participating in the grouping.
The grouping’s unified medical commission is set up at its first meeting, convened within a maximum of six months from the date of authorisation by the director general of the regional health agency.
II. – The grouping’s unified medical commission is set up by the director general of the regional health agency.The grouping’s unified medical commission may be dissolved by decision of the Director General of the regional health agency:
1° Either on the initiative of the Director General of the regional health agency, when he observes serious shortcomings or malfunctions in the implementation of the system;
2° Or at the request of the director of the support establishment, in agreement with the directors of the participating establishments, following a favourable opinion from the grouping’s strategic committee and the grouping’s unified medical commission.
The Director General of the Regional Health Agency specifies the procedures for dissolution, in particular the date on which it is to take place. This date shall be set within six months of the Director General’s decision.
The directors of each of the establishments involved in the regional hospital grouping shall set up institutional medical commissions in this case. The regional hospital grouping shall set up a group medical commission.
