In each public health institution, the institutional medical committee draws up the institution’s medical strategy and its medical project in conjunction with the group’s shared medical project. It participates in their implementation. It contributes to defining the policy for continuous improvement in the quality, appropriateness and safety of care, as well as in the conditions under which users are received and treated; it proposes an action programme to the Director, together with monitoring indicators. This programme takes into account the information contained in the annual report of the Users’ Commission.
It is consulted on matters concerning it under conditions laid down by decree.
The public health institution shall make available to the public the results, published each year, of the quality and safety of care indicators under conditions defined by order of the Minister for Health.
If the Director General of the Regional Health Agency finds that the provisions of the previous paragraph have not been complied with, he may take appropriate measures, in particular adjusting the funding allocations referred to in article L. 162-22-13 of the Social Security Code.
A decree determines the conditions for application of the previous paragraph.
