Article L6221-3 of the French Public Health Code

A medical biology laboratory established in another Member State of the European Union or party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area may open a site in France if :

1° The laboratory is accredited by the competent body of the Member State in which it is established;

2° Or the activity linked to this site is covered by an accreditation issued under the conditions mentioned in Article L. 6221-1 and complying with the standards mentioned in Article L. 6221-2.

Un laboratoire de biologie médicale établi dans un autre Etat membre de l’Union européenne ou partie à l’accord sur l’Espace économique européen peut ouvrir un site en France lorsque :

1° Soit le laboratoire dispose d’une accréditation délivrée par l’organisme compétent de l’Etat membre dans lequel il est établi ;

2° Soit l’activité liée à ce site est couverte par une accréditation délivrée dans les conditions mentionnées à l’article L. 6221-1 et répondant aux normes mentionnées à l’article L. 6221-2.
