The age limit of twenty-nine is not applicable in the following cases:
1° When the proposed contract or period of apprenticeship follows on from a previously completed contract or period of apprenticeship and leads to a higher level of qualification than that obtained at the end of the previous contract or period of apprenticeship;
2° When the apprenticeship contract has been terminated for reasons beyond the apprentice’s control or as a result of the apprentice’s temporary physical unfitness;
3° When the apprenticeship contract is signed by a person who is recognised as a disabled worker;
4° When the apprenticeship contract is taken out by a person who has a project to set up or take over a business, the completion of which is subject to obtaining the diploma or qualification certifying the training being pursued;
5° When the apprenticeship contract is taken out by a person registered as a high-level sportsperson on the list mentioned in the first paragraph of article L. 221-2 of the French Sports Code.
