An apprentice preparing for a vocational baccalaureate may, at his own request or that of his employer, at the end of the first year of the contract, continue his training with a view to obtaining a vocational aptitude certificate, an agricultural vocational aptitude certificate or an agricultural vocational certificate.
If the speciality of the vocational aptitude certificate, agricultural vocational aptitude certificate or agricultural vocational certificate belongs to the same vocational field as that of the vocational baccalaureate initially targeted, the duration of the apprenticeship contract or period is reduced by one year.
An amendment to the apprenticeship contract specifying the diploma being prepared for and the duration of the corresponding apprenticeship contract or period is signed by the apprentice, or his/her legal representative, and the employer.
